How to use the youtube earnings
This calculator turns an expected view count and creator RPM into a planning estimate. It is most useful when the RPM comes from your own YouTube Analytics for comparable videos and a consistent date range.
Choose an RPM that matches the forecast
Use a recent median or a low, base, and high scenario instead of selecting the best month your channel has ever recorded. Geography, format, seasonality, content eligibility, video length, and the share of unmonetized views can move RPM substantially.
Long-form and Shorts reporting should not be mixed casually. YouTube applies RPM to total video views for long-form content and engaged views for Shorts under its current reporting rules.
Read the result as platform revenue, not total business income
The estimate covers the revenue represented by the RPM input. Sponsorships, affiliates, products, services, merchandise, and most indirect revenue are outside this formula. Build those streams separately before comparing the channel with business costs.
Questions about this tool
Is this a guaranteed YouTube payout?
No. It is a scenario based on the view and RPM inputs. Actual revenue depends on the views and monetization conditions reported by YouTube.
Where should I find my RPM?
Use the RPM shown in YouTube Analytics for a comparable format and date range whenever possible.
Does the estimate include sponsorship income?
No. YouTube states that RPM excludes most brand deals and other revenue earned indirectly through the platform.
