Formula or method
Base sponsorship range = median views ÷ 1,000 × niche CPM rangeAssumptions
- The range covers media value before usage rights, exclusivity, travel, or complex production.
- Use median views from approximately ten comparable uploads.
The niche CPM bands are Free Creator Toolkit editorial planning ranges, not rates published by YouTube or IAB. They are deliberately broad because creator pricing is not standardized; replace them with your own completed-deal evidence whenever possible.

How to use the sponsorship rates
The sponsorship calculator estimates a broad media-value range from comparable views and an editorial niche CPM band. It is a negotiation starting point, not a published market rate or a promise that a brand will pay the result.
Use a defensible comparable-view median
Select roughly ten recent uploads that resemble the proposed sponsored video in format and subject. Use their median views so one viral result cannot dominate the estimate. Record the observation date because views continue to accumulate.
If the sponsor is buying a dedicated video, do not automatically use the same evidence as a short integration. Placement, audience intent, and expected distribution can differ.
Add production, usage, and exclusivity separately
The base range does not include paid usage, whitelisting, raw footage, perpetual rights, category exclusivity, travel, rush delivery, or unusually complex production. Define and price those terms separately so future renewals remain possible.
Questions about this tool
Are the niche CPM bands official YouTube rates?
No. They are broad Free Creator Toolkit editorial planning bands. YouTube and IAB do not publish these exact creator sponsorship rates.
Should subscriber count set the sponsorship price?
Subscriber count is context, but comparable views and audience fit usually provide a more direct planning signal for a specific deliverable.
Does the result include usage rights?
No. Paid media, reuse, whitelisting, raw footage, and extended licensing should be scoped and priced separately.
