Free image and YouTube thumbnail tools

Prepare an image for its next use: choose the crop, check how it reads at a small size, then export within your upload limit. Local image tools keep selected files on your device; YouTube URL tools request public metadata and thumbnails.

A useful order of work

  1. Frame the image

Use a visual crop to position the subject inside the target aspect ratio. Keep an original copy; cropping removes parts of the picture.

  2. Preview the thumbnail

Compare title and thumbnail combinations at realistic display sizes. This is a visual check, not a prediction of clicks or a substitute for a live platform experiment.

  3. Export to your limit

Choose dimensions, format and a maximum size. Compression may change fine details; inspect the output and reduce dimensions if your file cannot fit the target.
