Calculate the largest centered crop that converts a source frame into a common destination aspect ratio. The result quantifies geometry only; it cannot decide whether a face, product, caption, or graphic remains meaningfully composed.
Read the crop as a composition warning
A 3840 by 2160 landscape frame converted to 9:16 keeps a narrow centered slice and removes most source pixels from the sides. Use the calculated crop dimensions to build a guide layer, then inspect the actual shot rather than assuming the center is the correct focal point.

Is adding black bars better than cropping?
